07:24 AM EDT, 04/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Titan Mining Corp. ( TIMCF ) on Tuesday provided an update on the Kilbourne graphite project after receiving assays from the initial phase of trenching and from the initial drill holes of an ongoing exploration program.
Highlights of the drill results include 173.5 feet assaying 3.75% graphitic carbon, 140.0 feet assaying 3.5% graphitic carbon and 91.5 feet assaying 3.3% graphitic carbon, 83.9 feet assaying 3.3% graphitic carbon and 80.0 feet assaying 3.6% graphitic carbon.
"The results have provided definitive evidence that the potential size and grade of the deposit are significant and present Titan with an early entry opportunity into the US graphite market. The Kilbourne target being tested is amenable to open pit mining on permitted ground," said Titan CEO Don Taylor.
The first phase of exploration has been focused on mineralization within the fully permitted footprint of the company's Empire State mine in upstate New York.
