07:36 AM EST, 01/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- T-Mobile US ( TMUS ) has begun beta testing expanded coverage using SpaceX Starlink satellites on Apple ( AAPL ) smartphones.

On its website, the company announced that it is now offering text messages via satellite, with voice and data features to be added later.

Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday that Apple ( AAPL ), SpaceX, and T-Mobile had been working to add support for the network in the latest iPhone update.
