02:01 PM EDT, 03/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- C3is ( CISS ) said Friday it priced a firm commitment underwritten public offering of 120 million units, with gross proceeds of about $6 million.

Net proceeds will be used for capital expenditures, including the $38.7 million remaining purchase price for a tanker acquired in July or future acquisitions of additional vessels.

Shares sank 62.5% as intraday trading volume soared to more than 167.3 million from a daily average of about 9.02 million.

Sellas Life Sciences ( SLS ) said Friday it signed agreements with two institutional investors for a simultaneous private placement of about 13 million shares and warrants, targeting gross proceeds of about $20 million.

Shares dropped 28.4%, with intraday trading volume at over 6.25 million compared with a daily average of about 1.19 million.

Jabil's ( JBL ) shares slumped 16.5% amid heavy trading after the company's fiscal Q2 revenue, released on Friday, fell short of market expectations, while the manufacturing solutions provider cut its fiscal 2024 outlook.

More than 5.1 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 1.26 million.
