01:40 PM EDT, 03/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AstraZeneca ( AZN ) said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire Fusion Pharmaceuticals ( FUSN ) in a deal valued at about $2.4 billion

Fusion shares almost doubled as intraday trading volume shot to more than 35 million from a daily average of about 1.3 million.

National CineMedia ( NCMI ) shares surged 23% amid heavy trading intraday after the cinema advertising company's fiscal Q4 earnings and revenue beat market expectations, and it unveiled late Monday a share buyback program of up to $100 million.

More than 6.71 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 372,000.

Augmedix ( AUGX ) shares jumped after the company reported better-than-expected Q4 results.

Shares advanced 20% as intraday trading volume rose to more than 780,000 from a daily average of about 363,000.
