02:02 PM EDT, 03/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Landos Biopharma ( LABP ) shares surged nearly 167% amid heavy trading after the company and AbbVie (ABBV) said Monday they signed an agreement under which AbbVie will acquire the latter for $20.42 per share in cash, or roughly $137.5 million.
More than 454,000 shares of Landos traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 10,000.
Altamira Therapeutics ( CYTO ) said Monday it is collaborating with Univercells Group to assess SemaPhore platform for mRNA vaccine delivery.
Univercells will evaluate the platform for delivering mRNA vaccines, conducting tests both in laboratory settings and on living organisms, with the potential for a commercial agreement if successful, the company said.
Shares advanced more than 30% as intraday trading volume rose to more than 60 million versus the stock's daily average of about 186,000.
JPMorgan started Super Micro Computer ( SMCI ) with an overweight stock rating and a $1,150 price target.
Northland adjusted Super Micro's share-price target to $1,300 from $925 while maintaining its outperform rating.
Shares jumped 9.6% as intraday trading volume shot to more than 5.5 million from a daily average of about 10.7 million.
