01:49 PM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- VivoPower International's ( VVPR ) shares more than quadrupled intraday after the company's Tembo unit said Tuesday it signed a pact to exclusively negotiate a business combination with Cactus Acquisition Corp.1 (CCTS), a special-purpose acquisition firm.
Shares catapulted past 384% Tuesday afternoon as intraday trading volume soared to over 101 million from a daily average of about 45,000.
Ashford (AINC) shares soared amid heavy trading Tuesday afternoon after the company said late Monday that a special committee of independent and disinterested directors recommended, and its board approved, a plan to terminate the company's common-stock registration and delist its shares from the NYSE American.
