Shares soared 82% as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 74 million versus a daily average of about 26,000.

Kintara Therapeutics ( KTRA ) and TuHURA Biosciences said they have struck an all-stock merger deal, with transaction expected to close in Q3 of 2024.

Shares jumped 60% intraday trading volume climbed to more than 211 million from a daily average of about 11.6 million.

Vanda Pharmaceuticals ( VNDA ) shares soared after the US Food and Drug Administration approved its antipsychotic agent, Fanapt, for the acute treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder in adults.

Shares surged 30% as intraday trading volume soared to over 46 million shares from a daily average of about 954,000.
