02:12 PM EDT, 04/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- GCT Semiconductor ( GCTS ) said Friday that it signed a memorandum of understanding with Aramco for further developing Saudi Arabia's 4G/5G ecosystem for mission-critical and public safety networks.

The company did not disclose the financial details of the deal.

Shares surged almost 37% as intraday trading volume soared to over 27.2 million from a daily average of about 178,000.

HUB Cyber Security ( HUBC ) said Friday it secured $8 million in financing to "fortify its financial foundation and strategically invest in its future."

Shares soared 40% as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 86.2 million versus the stock's daily average of about 800,000.

Grindrod Shipping Holdings ( GRIN ) shares surged more than 29% after the company said late Thursday that it plans to implement a selective capital reduction.

The stockholders will receive $14.25 for each share held that is canceled following the selective capital reduction.

More than 271,000 shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 14,000.
