Shares surged 44% Tuesday as intraday trading volume catapulted to more than 38.6 million from a daily average of about 370,000.

Mangoceuticals ( MGRX ) disclosed Tuesday the development of proprietary oral formulations of semaglutide and tirzepatide to aid in weight management.

"These innovative drugs, currently available predominantly in injectable form, have demonstrated remarkable efficacy in clinical trials," the company said. "MangoRx's new oral formulations are poised to revolutionize the weight loss market and capture significant market share."

Shares soared 156% after intraday trading volume shot to more than 217.2 million from a daily average of about 570,000.

Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) said Tuesday that "positive" and "statistically significant" results from a phase 2 clinical trial of its newly licensed eRapa in familial adenomatous polyposis are scheduled for presentation at the annual meeting of the 2024 Digestive Disease Week.

Shares jumped 68%, with intraday trading volume at more than 113.4 million versus the stock's daily average of about 2.96 million.
