More than 10.8 million shares of the company traded intraday.

Ouster (OUST) said Wednesday that the US Department of Defense has vetted and approved the company's OS1 digital lidar for use in unmanned aerial systems.

Shares advanced 29% as intraday trading volume climbed to more than 13.4 million from a daily average of about 1.6 million.
