Lithium Americas ( LAC ) stock was up 69% after the company said that it is in discussions with the US Department of Energy and General Motors (GM) over its Thacker Pass lithium joint venture project, including a pending $2.26 billion financing.

Aqua Metals ( AQMS ) shares were 48% higher following a muted session.

Cyclerion Therapeutics ( CYCN ) stock was up 37% after the company said late Tuesday it relaunched as a neuropsychiatric company supported by an intellectual property licensing deal with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
