01:47 PM EDT, 09/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Topgolf Callaway Brands' ( MODG ) Topgolf subsidiary and Sega of America said Tuesday they have entered into a multiyear partnership to introduce Sonic the Hedgehog game at Topgolf-owned-and-operated venues in November and Toptracer-enabled franchise locations worldwide by Q1 2025.

The in-venue game is the first to be developed with an external IP since Angry Birds in 2020, according to a joint statement. It will allow players of all skill levels to compete in virtual Sonic environments, with Topgolf's ball-tracing technology tracking shots, the companies added.
