06:42 AM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- TotalEnergies (TTE) and Germany's RWE won a French government tender to build the Centre Manche 2 offshore wind farm off the coast of Normandy with a capacity of 1.5 gigawatts, the French government said Wednesday.

The project will produce electricity at a guaranteed price of 66 euro ($77.60) per megawatt hour. The consortium also committed to favoring wind turbines and cables manufactured in Europe.

The government said that a separate tender to build a one gigawatt wind farm tender off Oleron island in the Atlantic Ocean received no offers.
