09:43 AM EDT, 03/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TotalEnergies (TTE) said Monday it has signed power purchase agreements for over 1.5 gigawatts of solar power with more than 600 clients globally.
The company said 1.1 gigawatts are already in operation and 400 megawatts will be commissioned by year-end.
Separately, Reuters reported Friday that TotalEnergies was preparing to restart the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracker over the weekend at the company's refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.
The fluidic catalytic cracker had been shut down due to a leak, the report said quoting unnamed sources familiar with the matter, adding that a clamp to address the issue was installed on Thursday.
TotalEnergies didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
