TotalEnergies Signs 12-Year Nuclear Production Allocation Contract With EDF
Mar 27, 2026 11:37 AM

02:06 PM EDT, 03/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- TotalEnergies (TTE) and EDF said Friday they have signed a 12-year Nuclear Production Allocation Contract starting Jan. 1, 2028, aimed at securing long-term electricity supply for TotalEnergies' industrial operations in France.

Under the agreement, EDF will supply TotalEnergies with nuclear power covering about 60% of the electricity needs of its refining and chemicals sites in France, or roughly 400 megawatts.

The deal gives TotalEnergies access to stable, low-carbon nuclear power, while EDF shares generation-related risks and costs but retains full responsibility for operating its nuclear assets, according to the companies.
