07:47 AM EDT, 03/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tower Semiconductor ( TSEM ) and Coherent (COHR) said Monday that they have unveiled 400 Gbps/lane data transmission through a silicon modulator installed in a silicon photonics process.

The demonstration used Coherent's InP CW high-power laser, the parties said, adding that they presented the details of the modulator last week at the Optical Fiber Communication conference.

Shares of Tower Semiconductor ( TSEM ) were up 4.6% in Monday premarket activity, while Coherent's stock was 1.9% higher.
