Toyota Motor Finds No New Certification Wrongdoing Beyond Previous Disclosure

05:21 AM EDT, 07/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Friday it completed an investigation and did not find new cases of wrongdoing in the certification applications of its car models beyond what it reported in June.

The company said the investigation covered all domestic models over the past decade and the findings were submitted to Japan's transport ministry.

In its June interim report regarding model certification applications, Toyota ( TM ) said seven models were tested using methods that differed from government standards.

The company said Friday it is committed to continue taking measures in line with the transport ministry's guidance.
