Toyota Motor Grants Union Demands for Salary, Bonus Increases in Japan

07:00 AM EDT, 03/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) has granted the salary and bonus increase demands of its labor unions in Japan, news outlets reported Wednesday, citing different sources.

According to Bloomberg News, Toyota ( TM ) Chief Human Resources Officer Takanori Azuma said the agreement brings its salaries and bonuses to the highest levels ever but did not disclose specific figures. In its report, Reuters said Toyota ( TM ) agreed to monthly wage increases of up to 28,440 Japanese yen ($192.3) for its factory workers.

Toyota Motor ( TM ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
