08:58 AM EDT, 04/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Thursday it plans to invest $1.4 billion in its Princeton, Indiana site to assemble three row battery electric SUV.

The company's total investment in Indiana would reach to $8 billion, Toyota ( TM ) added.

The investment will also add a new battery pack assembly line utilizing lithium-ion batteries, supplied by the company's battery production plant in North Carolina, Toyota ( TM ) said.
