01:16 PM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Wednesday it will add more than 350 jobs and invest $282 million at its Huntsville, Alabama, plant.

The company said the investment will also add new production lines at the plant, bringing total investment in Toyota Alabama to more than $1.7 billion.

Toyota Alabama currently supplies engines to seven Toyota ( TM ) vehicle plants in North America and has more than 2,000 dedicated team members, the company added.

Toyota Motor ( TM ) shares were about 1% down in recent trading.
