12:22 PM EDT, 04/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor's ( TM ) unit in North America on Tuesday reported Q1 sales of 565,098 vehicles in the US, an increase of over 20% on a volume basis and up more than 17% on a daily selling rate basis from a year earlier.

Sales of electrified vehicles in the quarter totaled 206,850, a surge of more than 74% on a volume basis from a year earlier, the automaker said.

In March, Toyota ( TM ) sold 214,894 vehicles in the US, an increase of nearly 22% on a volume and daily selling rate basis from a year earlier. Electrified vehicle sales jumped nearly 61% on a volume basis to 78,157 units.
