Toyota Motor Recalls 11,000 Vehicles in US Over Head Restraint Issue
Jun 27, 2024 11:09 AM

01:48 PM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Thursday it is recalling about 11,000 vehicles in the US because of an issue involving the head restraints for the front driver and passenger seats.

The head restraints in certain model year 2024 Lexus RX and certain model year 2024-2025 Lexus NX vehicles may be removable without pressing the release button, Toyota ( TM ) said, adding that the risk of injury in case of a rear-end crash increases if a head restraint is removed.

The company said Lexus dealers will replace the head restraints for free, adding that customers will be notified about the issue by late August.
