Toyota Motor Recalls 144,250 Vehicles Due to Rear Visibility Issues
Mar 25, 2026 3:14 AM

05:53 AM EDT, 03/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) is recalling 144,200 vehicles in the US due to a failure to comply with federal safety requirements regarding rear visibility, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.

Vehicles affected by the recall include Lexus NX350 variants from 2022 to 2025, the NX250 and certain RX350 and TX350 models, the regulator said.

The rearview camera image may not display when the impacted vehicle is placed in reverse, increasing the likelihood of a crash, the NHTSA said.

The regulator added that Toyota ( TM ) dealers will either update or replace the rearview camera software, free of charge.
