Toyota Motor to Collaborate With BMW on Developing Technology for Hydrogen-Powered Cars

02:57 PM EDT, 09/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) entered a collaboration with BMW to develop technology for hydrogen-powered cars, according to a statement Thursday.

Both sides will pool resources to develop hydrogen fuel cell-based powertrain systems for vehicles.

The collaboration comes ahead of BMW's planned launch of a hydrogen-powered production model in 2028, according to the statement.
