03:48 PM EST, 02/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Thursday it is recalling Sienna minivan models from 2021 to 2025 in North America, Asia, and other regions, including roughly 168,000 in the US.

The automaker said bolts connecting the split 60/40 third-row seat backs may not be tightened to the proper safety standards, which could prevent the seat back from functioning correctly, raising the risk of injury to seated occupants.

Toyota ( TM ) plans to begin notifying customers by mid-April 2025, while dealerships will tighten the bolts on affected vehicles free of charge, it added.
