Toyota Motors, Daimler Truck to Finalize Merger Plans for Truck Units Hino Motors, Mitsubishi Fuso Next Year

06:13 AM EDT, 06/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motors (TM) said Tuesday that it has agreed with Daimler Truck to merge their truck units, Hino Motors and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus, into a new listed holding company by April of next year.

Toyota ( TM ) said the combined company will be jointly owned by Toyota ( TM ) and Daimler Truck, each with a 25% stake, while Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino will be wholly owned units.

The new entity, which will be headquartered in Tokyo, will focus on decarbonization, logistics, and CASE technologies, including hydrogen-powered mobility, Toyota ( TM ) said.
