07:52 AM EDT, 05/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Thursday its global sales increased 10% year on year to 876,864 vehicles in April due to "strong" sales in China, Japan, and North America.

US sales also jumped 10% to 233,045 units, while Europe sales rose 8.4% and Japan sales were also up almost 12%, the company said.

Toyota ( TM ) also said its global production rose 7.8% to 814,787 vehicles last month.

Worldwide sales and production increased for the fourth consecutive month in April, the company said.

Shares of the company were up 1.8% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
