08:14 AM EDT, 05/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota ( TM ) said Tuesday its updated 2026 bZ electric SUV will offer up to 314 miles of range on select trims and adopt North America's standardized fast-charging system.
The redesigned model includes two battery options, 74.7-kWh and 57.7-kWh, with improvements in output and charging, and adds Plug & Charge functionality, Toyota ( TM ) said.
All-Wheel Drive variants now produce 338 combined horsepower, up 50% from the prior model, while Front-Wheel Drive trims will also see increased performance, the automaker said.
Toyota ( TM ) also said the model is dropping the "4X" from its name, receiving changes to its refreshed exterior, and is getting a redesigned cabin with a 14-inch screen and customizable interior lighting.
Additional upgrades include new regenerative braking paddle shifters, improved thermal battery management for cold-weather charging, and expanded standard safety and driver-assist features, the company said.
The company expects the 2026 bZ to reach dealerships in H2, with pricing to be announced closer to launch.
