Toyota to Recall Roughly 41,000 Camry, Lexus Vehicles Over Seat Belt Issue
Feb 6, 2025 11:01 AM

01:37 PM EST, 02/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Toyota Motor ( TM ) said Thursday it is recalling roughly 41,000 Camry and Lexus vehicles over a seat belt related issue.

The recall impacts the 2025 Camry, Lexus NX, and certain 2024 and 2025 Lexus RX vehicles in North America, the company said.

According to Toyota ( TM ), the second-row center seatbelt of the subject vehicles may not meet certain strength requirements due to damage during manufacturing.

"Toyota ( TM ) and Lexus dealers will inspect the second-row center seatbelt webbing and if necessary, replace the seatbelt assembly, free of charge," the company said in a statement.

Toyota ( TM ) said it would notify customers of all involved vehicles by early April 2025.

Toyota's ( TM ) US-listed shares were down more than 2% in recent trading.
