Toyota to transfer LG Energy battery order to Michigan plant

Feb 18 (Reuters) - Toyota Motor ( TM ) has agreed to

transfer its order for LG Energy Solution vehicle

batteries to a Michigan plant that General Motors ( GM ) is exiting,

the Japanese automaker confirmed Tuesday.

GM in December said it would sell its stake in the

plant, which would have been the third Ultium Cells

joint-venture battery plant operated by LG and GM. The companies

have two U.S. battery plants operating in Ohio and Tennessee.
