HOUSTON, Oct 28 (Reuters) - Canadian-government owned
oil pipeline operator Trans Mountain on Friday said it will shut
the Puget Sound Pipeline from Laurel to Anacortes, Washington,
for about seven days in mid-November to conduct planned
maintenance.
The Puget Sound Pipeline connects to the Trans Mountain
Pipeline at the Sumas delivery point in British Columbia. The
line does not connect to the recently opened Trans Mountain
expansion.
The Puget Sound Pipeline carries Canadian oil to four
refineries, including Marathon Petroleum's ( MPC ) Anacortes and
Phillips 66's Ferndale refineries on the western side of
Washington State.
It is an 111-kilometer (69-mile) pipeline system and has the
capacity to move up to about 240,000 barrels per day (bpd).
