Transocean Secures $531 Million Contract With BP

11:04 AM EDT, 07/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Transocean ( RIG ) said Wednesday that it secured a contract with BP (BP) for its Deepwater Invictus drillship, which is estimated to contribute about $531 million in backlog.

The company said the 1,095-day contract is for a drilling program in the US Gulf of Mexico that is expected to start in Q1 2025.
