Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $3.65.

Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 was $12.12 billion, up from $11.28 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected $12.14 billion.

The company kept its quarterly dividend at $1.10 per share, payable Sept. 30 to shareholders of record on Sept. 10.
