Tree Island Steel's Revenue Falls in Q4
Mar 13, 2026 5:31 AM

08:13 AM EDT, 03/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tree Island Steel ( TWIRF ) overnight Thursday reported lower revenue in fourth quarter.

For the three-month period ended Dec. 31, 2025, the company reported revenue of C$34.3 million, compared to $47.8 million in the corresponding year-ago period.

"The decline primarily reflected lower U.S. sales volumes due to the ongoing impact of expanded U.S. tariffs on wire and wire products, as well as the Company's strategic withdrawal from certain unprofitable product lines," said the company. "These factors were partially offset by continued growth in Canadian sales, consistent with the Company's increased focus on domestic markets."

For the three-month period, net loss was reported at $3.3 million, compared to net loss of $3.4 million in the year-ago period.

Net loss per share was reported at $0.13 per share, unchanged from the corresponding year-ago period.

"We continue to focus on strengthening our position in the Canadian market as we navigate the challenges posed by U.S. tariffs," said Nancy Davies, Chief Operating Officer of Tree Island Steel ( TWIRF ).

The company also said that it paid quarterly dividends of $0.015 per share during 2025 and added that it has elected to suspend dividend payments in 2026 "in light of ongoing economic uncertainty."
