TreeHouse Foods Recalls Frozen Waffles Over Potential Listeria Contamination
Oct 18, 2024 5:05 AM

07:45 AM EDT, 10/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TreeHouse Foods ( THS ) said Friday it is voluntarily recalling some of its frozen waffle products due to possibility of Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The issue was identified during routine testing at the manufacturing site and no illness linked to the products have been reported, TreeHouse Foods ( THS ) said.

The products being recalled were distributed across the US and Canada, the company said, adding that the US Food and Drug Administration and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency have been informed about the matter.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe and even fatal infections in people with weakened immune systems and young children, according to the company statement.
