08:29 AM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Trident Resources ( TRDTF ) said Thursday that it is expanding its inaugural drill program at the Contact Lake project in Saskatchewan to 6,500 meters from 5,000 meters.

The company expanded the campaign as it reported "excellent progress" in its drilling, with costs coming in lower than expected due to nearby infrastructure that makes work more efficient.

Trident also reported "encouraging visual mineralization," adding that it is fully funded for this increase with over $11 million in the company's treasury.

Trident's share price fell 2.1% to $0.93 on the TSXV Wednesday.
