07:14 AM EDT, 04/22/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Trilogy Metals Inc. ( TMQ ) on Monday said that the U.S. Bureau of Land Management identified "No Action" as its preferred alternative on the Ambler Access Project (AAP), the proposed 211-mile, industrial-use-only road from the Upper Kobuk Mineral Projects to the Dalton Highway in Alaska.
The AAP project was to allow exploration and development at the Ambler Mining District, which hosts rich copper-dominant polymetallic deposits.
Trilogy will review the final SEIS and consider options and next steps. BLM will issue a Record of Decision no sooner than 30 days after the Final SEIS is published in the federal register.
The AAP had been proposed by Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority, which on April 19 said it "strongly objects to both the process used by the Bureau of Land Management to reach a "No Build" decision and the effect of the decision which illegally blocks access to statehood lands, minerals, and federally patented mining claims."
Trilogy is up 4.2% in U.S. premarket trade, to US$0.41 per share.
