02:23 PM EST, 11/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Trinity Biotech ( TRIB ) said Tuesday it received World Health Organization approval for the offshored and outsourced upstream manufacturing activities of its Uni-Gold HIV rapid test.

The approval allows the company to transition upstream production of the test from its legacy in-house operations to a more cost-effective outsourced model as part of its broader plan to streamline operations and reduce fixed costs.

The shift to outsourced manufacturing is expected to deliver improvements in gross margin, EBITDA, and cashflow generation, the company said.
