04:23 PM EDT, 06/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Trinseo ( TSE ) said Wednesday it has started recycling operations at a new polymethyl methacrylate depolymerization facility in Rho, Italy.

The depolymerization process used at the facility recycles acrylic solutions back to their monomer form, removes additives and contaminants, and enables more PMMA to be recycled, the company said.

The monomer is comparable to raw materials and is used in Trinseo's ( TSE ) R-Life product lines, suitable for applications like vehicle taillights and caravan windows.
