The exemptions will apply to goods that are in compliance with a North American trade pact, CNBC reported, citing a White House official. The pause is set to last until April 2, according to the report.

Canada will delay a planned second round of retaliatory tariffs on $125 billion Canadian dollars ($87.33 billion) worth of US products through April 2, Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc said Thursday in a post on social media platform X.
