Trump Reportedly to Extend Deadline for Chinese Divestment From TikTok
Jun 18, 2025 5:54 AM

08:44 AM EDT, 06/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- President Donald Trump will extend the deadline for Chinese internet company ByteDance to sell its subsidiary TikTok's US business for a third time, news outlets reported Tuesday.

The president will extend the deadline for another 90 days, CNBC reported, citing a statement from White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt.

ByteDance faced a June 19 deadline to sell off TikTok's American operation in accord with a US law that has been upheld by the US Supreme Court, the report said.

ByteDance, TikTok, and the White House did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
