07:56 PM EDT, 07/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- President Trump said the Board of Peace has reached an agreement for the "complete disarmament" of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza, calling it a critical step toward Gaza being governed by a new Palestinian government, BBC reported Thursday.

It was unclear whether Hamas and Israel were party to the agreement, as neither has commented, the report said, adding that Trump said Israeli forces would withdraw from Gaza as disarmament is completed.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said the agreement would be carried out in structured phases, with the International Stabilization Force working alongside a new Palestinian police force to ensure Gaza's security once Israeli withdrawal is complete.
