Trump Says Pfizer Agrees to Provide Medications at 'Heavily Discounted Prices'
Sep 30, 2025 10:29 AM

12:48 PM EDT, 09/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Pfizer ( PFE ) has agreed to provide some of its most popular medications at "heavily discounted prices" of up to 100%.

The drugs will be available for direct purchase online, Trump said.

The president added that all new medications introduced by the drugmaker to the US market will be sold at the lower "Most Favored Nation" cost. As part of the deal, Pfizer ( PFE ) secured a three-year reprieve from tariffs.

"So we'll be paying essentially what other countries are paying," Trump said.

Trump also said Pfizer ( PFE ) will invest $70 billion to reshore manufacturing and research to the US.

He said the US is working with other pharmaceutical companies for similar deals.
