Trump Threatens NBC, ABC's Licenses Over Alleged "Bias" in Reporting
Aug 25, 2025 4:13 AM

06:57 AM EDT, 08/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- US President Donald Trump on Sunday called for the Federal Communications Commission to revoke the licenses of Comcast's ( CMCSA ) NBC and Walt Disney's ( DIS ) ABC, calling them "two of the absolute worst and most biased networks anywhere in the World."

"They should lose their Licenses for their unfair coverage of Republicans and/or Conservatives, but at a minimum, they should pay up BIG for having the privilege of using the most valuable airwaves anywhere at anytime," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

Trump said the two networks give him "97% BAD STORIES" despite what he claimed were "among the greatest 8 months in Presidential History."

Trump added that the supposed negative coverage of him could only imply that the networks "ARE SIMPLY AN ARM OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND SHOULD, ACCORDING TO MANY, HAVE THEIR LICENSES REVOKED BY THE FCC."

Disney ( DIS ), ABC's parent company, and NBC did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
