05:55 AM EDT, 08/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- President Donald Trump said Sunday he hopes China will quadruple its soybean orders from the US to help reduce its trade deficit.

According to Trump, China is facing a soybean shortage and that rapid service would be provided.

"Our great farmers produce the most robust soybeans," Trump said. He also addressed the remarks to Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying increased orders would substantially reduce the trade gap.
