03:41 PM EDT, 07/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- TrustCo Bank Corp NY ( TRST ) Tuesday said it has promoted Robert M. Leonard to chief operating officer at the financial services company from his current position as chief risk officer.

Michael Ewell will succeed Leonard as chief risk officer. Ewell will also continue as compliance and information security chief.

TrustCo also disclosed several other leadership changes in its retail banking, lending and operations, including J.R. George as chief retail banking officer and Michelle Simmonds as chief lending officer.

Shares were up more than 4% in recent trading.
