10:20 AM EDT, 08/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tutor Perini ( TPC ) said Thursday that its Rudolph and Sletten unit has started construction of the Stanford Hospital Pod E Renovation project in Palo Alto, California.

The company said its work includes renovations to part of the existing acute care hospital, converting dual-bed patient rooms into single-patient rooms and upgrading of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, information technology and medical equipment systems.

Tutor Perini ( TPC ) said the contract value was included in its backlog earlier this year, and "substantial completion" of the project is expected in spring 2027.
