09:00 AM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tutor Perini ( TPC ) said Wednesday that a joint venture between the company and its unit Frontier-Kemper Constructors, has been awarded a $1.18 billion design-build contract by the Gateway Development Commission for the Manhattan Tunnel Project, which is part of the larger Hudson Tunnel Project.

Tutor Perini ( TPC ) said the project will involve the construction of twin 30-foot diameter tunnels beneath the Hudson River.

Tutor Perini ( TPC ) said that work will begin this spring with substantial completion expected by 2029, and that the contract value will be added to the company's backlog in Q1.
