06:41 AM EDT, 09/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The United Auto Workers union said on Wednesday it set a strike deadline for Ford's (F) tool and die unit at the River Rouge Complex for Sept. 26 if local contract issues are not resolved.

The union said the main issues in local negotiations include job security, wage parity for skilled trades, and work rules.

Ford did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
