05:03 AM EDT, 03/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies ( UBER ) , Pony AI (PONY) and Verne said Thursday they have formed a partnership to launch the first commercial robotaxi service in Europe.

Pony will provide its autonomous driving technology, Verne will be fleet owner and service operator, while Uber ( UBER ) will integrate the service into its ride-hailing network.

The partners have already started on-road testing in Zagreb, Croatia, with plans to expand to other European cities.

As part of the partnership, Uber ( UBER ) plans to invest in Verne and support its expansion intentions.

Pony shares were up 1.4% in premarket activity, while Uber ( UBER ) fell 0.3%.
